A non-clotting derivative thrombin produced from Humanα-Thrombin by controlled incubation with Trypsin-Sepharose. Gamma-thrombin is a noncoagulant form of thrombin that retains much of its platelet-activating capacity. Gamma-thrombin purity is determined by SDS-PAGE.
